Week 3, Day 3: Accumulation

Decided to train today, with no rest day in between sessions.  Figured it's a good way to push myself a bit, and fits in better with my upcoming schedule.  Warmed up with walking lunges & hammie stretches, some shrugs, some hammer curls, some band stretches for forearm and biceps.  Hips were, for whatever reason, remarkably mobile - did some bodyweight squats, and was moving fluidly for a fat cripple.  Hopped into work.

Stone Squats: 1x5x210,275,310/9,275,275/9
Good news: progress.  Bad news: pretty strong sciatic pain on the last set, a little bit on the first fatigue set.  Good news: no pain up until then.  Despite the fact that I really worked hard on bracing abs, and maintaining strict form, I wonder if something is getting fatigued, and allowing the nerve to get rubbed.  The pain was most notable during the top 1/4 of the motion - right where thoracic extension comes into play, of which I have next to none.

 Barbell Shrugs: 1x12x135,225,315,405,455/9,425/9
455 was pretty draining; had to take a 10-15 breather at rep 10.  Was just getting gassed.

Hammer Curls: 1x10x60,65/9,60/9
Forearms and grip were pretty toasty by this time.

Well, not a bad session at all - brought some intensity to the platform today, and feel like I worked fairly hard.
